Another in the Fire

The mental state that we may be in may feel dark, hard pressed and isolated, liken a fiery furnace under tremendous pressure and torment. But we are not alone, God is always with us. HE is omnipresent.

In Isaiah 43:2, "when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." God has promised that He will never forsake you. Sometimes, it is our faith that undergoes the fire.

Remember the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar? They were thrown into the fiery furnace for refusing to bow down to the gold image which the king had set up. BUT GOD showed up. Daniel 3:25: “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

Jesus was with them in the fire!
