Faith; Hope; Love
1 Corinthians 13:13
“Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends (John 15:13).”
Christ died for us to give us new life. He died not out of obligation but of His love for us. Jesus has demonstrated the sacrificial lifestyle of a Christian through the crucifixion. The Bible mentioned that a seed must die before it can have new life, hence the baby is symbolic of us as a new creation in Christ.
In the book of Matthew (21:6-11), it was about Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the people put their clothes and palm leaves on the road. The palm branch is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace and eternal life. The baby holding on to a palm branch signifies us receiving Christ into our lives and holding on to the promises of God. The hand signifies that God is in control of our lives, His hand is able.
We need faith and hope to believe in the promises of a God who loves us.
