Our Christian faith anchors its hope in the kingdom of God, which is a future reality: One day, the kingdom of God will be established in this world (Rev. 11:15), and there will be no more sorrow, sickness, temptation, sin, and death (Rev. 21:4). There will be eternal joy for all, and we will experience the presence, power, and life of God in all its fullness. The good news is that today, we can have a taste of the powers of the age to come because the kingdom has already penetrated this present evil age. The blessings are already here, albeit not in its fullness. Kingdom Righteousness
To enter the kingdom of heaven, you need to have a righteousness that surpasses religious moralism (Matt. 5:20). The righteousness of the Pharisees focused on the external, while Jesus zeroes in on the heart. In the greatest sermon ever preached (Sermon on the Mount), Jesus gives us four commands of the kingdom.
